"Stocznia jest kobieta" (Shipyard is a woman) is a Gdansk City Culture Institute's project dedicated to the women bound up with Shipyard of Gdansk - a place where overthrow of the communist regime in Poland begun, later turning into an artists' hub, where many have worked and resided. Gdansk City Culture Istitute is organising guided tours across the former shipyard, following the traces of female activity in the area. Their stories have been gathered in an audioguide, supplemented with a map of walking routes.
