GRI(paperweight) 문진

•

손의 쥐는 모습, 특히 위에서 쥐는 모습을 모티브로 사용되었다.

이 모양을 선택하게 된 이유는 문진이라는 제품의 특성상 들고 놓는 일이 잦기 때문에 그립감이 좋도록 하고 싶었고 손을 모티브로 하였다.

The grip of the hand, especially the grip held above, was used as the motif.

The reason why I chose this shape is because of the nature of the product called paperweight, I often hold it up and put it down,

so I wanted to improve the grip feeling, and I used my hand as a motif.

스케치(Sketch)

손가락 마디의 갯수와 각각의 길이, 각도를 고려를 하여 스케치를 하였다.

Sketch was done considering the number of finger knuckles, the length and angle of each knuckles.

모델링(Modeling)

위 스케치에서 가장 마음에 드는 4가지 버전을 발전시켜 각각 5개씩 모델링을 하였다.

I developed the four versions that we liked best in the above sketches and modeled five of them each.

종이 목업(Paper Mockup)

종이를 이용하여 실제 크기로 만들어보고 쥐어보며, 더욱 좋은 디자인과 그립감을 위해 선택을 해 나갔다.

I used paper to make the actual size and check grip it feeling, and I made a choice for a better design and grip.

첫번째 목업(First Mockup)

손가락 마디의 길이와 각도의 비율을 모두 고려한 버전을 만들었다.
I made a version that considered both the length of the knuckles and the ratio of angles.

제품이 너무 낮아서 잡기에 불편함을 느꼈다.
The product was so low that I felt uncomfortable to hold it.

두번째 목업(Second Mockup)

각도를 제외한 버전을 만들어 높이를 높였다.
The height was increased by making a version excluding the angle.

뾰족해지고 넓이가 작아져 너무 구의 형태를 띠었다.
It became too spherical because it became pointed and smaller in width.

세번째 목업(Third Mockup)

변의 길이를 통일시켜 넓이를 늘려 완만하게 만들었다.
The length of the sides was unified to increase the width to make it gentle.

네번째 목업(Fourth Mockup)

높이를 낮추고 몇몇 각도를 통일하는 등 전체적으로 예쁜 디자인으로 다듬었다.
It was trimmed with a pretty design overall, such as lowering the height and unifying some angles.

도면 (Dimension plan)

아래의 도면을 선반 작업을 하는 곳에 보여주고 제작하였다.
The following drawings were shown and produced at the place metla lathe was performed.

재질 (Dimension plan)

재질은 금속 중에서 황동을 선택했다. 왜냐하면 우리의 손이 무광이고, 거칠기 때문에 이와 유사한 재질이라고 생각했다.
Among the metals, brass was selected. because our hands are matte and rough when we hold them has good grip.
