Final Major Project - Year One
My final project for year 1 of my course was to create an identity for a personal brand for myself. This brief allowed me to really think about who I am as a designer and how I would like to be seen within the industry at that point in time.

I ensured that I allowed myself enough time to research into personal branding so I was more knowledgable about this area and the message I wanted to communicate.
For my final logo, I ended up deciding that I wanted to include something personal to me in it. I decided that I wanted to go with my cat that I had when I was younger who sadly passed away a few years ago. I thought that it would be a nice personal touch and would then make my logo have some sort of meaning to it. I traced over a picture of my cats face for the o of Holly in my logo.

These are my sketches and ideas. I always wanted to roll with the idea of using a cat in my logo as a lot of my logo inspiration included cats in them. The idea to then use my own cat came to me a little later on.

These are just some of my logo variations for my logo. I did multiple different digital sketches of my cats face and played around with those on my logo along with the colour palette.

I wanted to include spots on the back my business card and on my business stationary as my cat was a Tabby Bengal so had spots on his stomach. For the colour palette, I used the colours of my cats fur.

As our FMP's were going to be shown at the Weston College 2022 Summer Show, I wanted to make some physical outcomes. I ended up deciding that I wanted to make a top as one my final outcomes along with some physical business cards and rubbers. I put my designs on acetate so that I could then screen print the top.
