Barefoot through time | 4pg comic for Bystander

This piece comes under the "Belief" chapter of the Bystander Anthology, a kick started project by Kadak Collective which speaks about geography and gender, identity and self, boundary and exclusion, experienced through the lens of the bystander. I wrote and illustrated this along with Gopika Bashi as my editor.
The story depicts the effect of changing socio political scenario from a perspective of a tribal community whose belief and culture is fading as fast as the degrading landscapes.

All the images drawn here comes from my childhood memories of spending summer holidays in my maternal and paternal grandfather's villages based in Jashpur (Chhattisgarh) and Sundargarh (Orrisa).
This was the first draft of the comic which was loosely put together as a visual poetry.
The second draft looked more dense and so the challenge was to organize the content topic wise (segregating content into vertical divisions for the 2nd and 3rd page) so that it fits one section in one page that leads up to the next topic in the final version.
