The goal of this project for Maricopa County Animal Care & Control was to create an attention-catching image to raise awareness of spay/neuter benefits. I wrote the following information to go with it:

Skip the baby mama drama - spay and neuter your pets!

Why should you spay or neuter?
👍 Your pet will live a longer and healthier life! Spaying females prevents several types of cancers and uterine infections, and neutering males prevents testicular cancer and prostate problems.
👍 It saves money in the long term! The cost of a spay or neuter surgery is much less than that of caring for a litter of little ones.
👍 Neutered males will be less likely to roam away from home and may be better behaved! Lower testosterone levels can decrease urine marking, mounting, and escaping home to look for available ladies.
👍 Preventing litters saves lives! You can help slow the tide of millions of pets that enter shelters each year in need of homes - all of which were once the cute cuddly babies everyone wanted.
