My magazine cover and two page spread are examples of typography used for publication layouts. The layouts use many fonts at different sizes to create interest and type hierarchy, while communicating the information on the pages to the viewer. The project this was designed for was a project in which students had to recreate a magazine's style with our own style influencing it, as if we were tasked with designing the next issue of the magazine. I chose Better Homes and Gardens and based my issue on a June 2010 issue of the magazine.
