Project Title: Sea Beast Octopus Bites
Project Description: Create one tin design for a Sardine company, or a similar product that would be sold within a tin. You can make the company based in any country you want, and translate to whatever language you want. Decide what country you want this sardine company to originate in, and edit the titling to follow. Also ,come up with your own product name (i.e. Sardines in Olive Oil, Sardine Fillets with Herby Goodness, Little Sardines with a Bit of Oil, etc).
Approach: I originally set out to create an original sardine brand, playing around with a few different sea faring ideas, & deciding on a Cthulhu inspired design: Sea Beast. The sea beast itself, a huge tentacled creature, being the brands mascot. It is featured on the design as just the tentacles coming out of the water, circling the tin design, & tearing the logo apart as if it was a ship. I decided on adding a custom texture I created by making a brush from my apartment's kitchen tiles. Over time the product shifted from sardines to octopus bites to fit the brand identity of a tentacled sea beast as the Sea Beast mascot. The sea beast is a terrifying creature, but you as the consumer are the apex predator.
