Hank
For my Digital Photography class my parents bought me a new camera. I was testing it out one day and ended up taking the first photo on the left, of Hank. I was then asked in Art Portfolio Development class to expand on something we had already done as an artist, while also using a medium we didn’t typically use. So I decided to free-hand draw Hank from this photo I had taken. It ended up turning it into one of the best drawings I’ve ever done. I then thought of the idea to put into a digital artform. I opened the picture into photoshop, masked Hank and then saved the mask, and opened him into Illustrator so I could get him a cool background. I added a contrasting brown color that would even out with his brown fur. Hank has the cutest little paw prints so I incorporated some pawprints into the background but not so many that they would overwhelm Hank.
