Nope é um filme de mistério e terror lançado em 2022, dirigido e roteirizado pelo cineasta Jordan Peele. Ele conta a história de dois irmãos que passam a presenciar um fenômeno estranho no céu do rancho onde vivem. O conceito da ilustração foi inspirado em uma abdução, onde alguns personagens e elementos importantes da trama são sugados por uma nuvem (um dos símbolos principais da história).
Nope is a 2022 horror mystery film directed and scripted by filmmaker Jordan Peele. It tells the story of two brothers who begin to witness a strange phenomenon in the sky of the farm where they live. The concept of the illustration was inspired by an abduction, where some characters and important plot elements are sucked into a cloud (one of the main symbols of the story).
Para deixar as coisas mais vibrantes, os tons mais quentes foram realçados. O cinema de Peele é recheado de ícones, e Nope tem uma infinidade deles como o sapato, um motoqueiro, a placa com a inscrição "Out Yonder", as máscaras de alien, uma câmera de segurança, e claro, cavalos.
To make things more vibrant, warmer tones were highlighted. Peele's cinema is full of icons, and Nope would be no different: the shoe, a motorcyclist, the sign with the inscription "Out Yonder", the alien masks, a security camera and, of course, the horses.
As cores escolhidas foram baseadas no clima árido dos ambientes do filme, entre tons terrosos e quentes. Como complemento, as variações entre roxo e rosa remetem a aura de fantasia/ sobrenatural da história. Já a fonte Cooper Black tem um design mais descontraído que combina com o visual colorido da ilustra. Ela varia entre amarelo e branco como contrastes a cores como vermelho, laranja e rosa, e está distribuída em ordem vertical através dos nomes do elenco principal do filme, como se eles estivessem sendo abduzidos pela nuvem.
The colors chosen were inspired by the arid climate of the film's environments, between earthy and warm tones. As a complement the variations between purple and pink refer to the fantasy/supernatural aura of the story. The Cooper Black font has a more relaxed design that matches the colorful look of the illustration. It varies between yellow and white, as it contrasts with colors such as red, orange and pink, and is distributed in vertical order by the names of the main cast of the film, as if they were being abducted by the cloud.
