A drawing challenge for the month of October instead of doing ***tober. I created a collection of invertebrate specimens based on the list of briefs, found under the hashtag Invertober.

Instead of just drawing the invertebrates I chose to treat them as part of a naturalist's collection of lovingly preserved specimens collected over decades of work. Like my previous Cabinet of Curiosities series, I limited myself to a palette of 4 colors and 6 Procreate brushes to maintain a cohesive look. Early on I knew that I didn't want to render each invertebrate with their true colors as I feared it would become too busy and less curated.
