The idea was to create a design reflecting the following ideas:

1. Inner world, harmony, disharmony.

2. Family, society.

I decided to refer to classic art and design as a source of graphical means, granting them new meanings, sometimes quite the opposite ones.

I had visual works of E. Lissitzky and K. Malewicz combined with an anti-war message of German recognized writer E. M. Remarque.

As a result, I got a controversial picture that reimagines the initial meaning of Lissitzky's propaganda piece.

Words in the circle with a character say "I'm certain about future", "i want to help", "I have a stable job", "I trust people", "harmony", "healthy relationship", "I'm safe". Those are what contributes to the inner harmony.

Words in red triangles that attack the person's safe space are "uncertainty", "desperation", "anxiety", "fear for future". And, of course, "All Quiet On The Western Front". 
It symbolizes the main irritating stimulus - news on war. They shake the inner harmony and let other fears enter as well. 

So, the original work of Lissitzky, calling people to take part in the civil war, is reimagined to become an anti-war message.

For a person who puts family first, the term "motherland" equates to family and gets some more intimate shades of meaning by doing so. 

For a person who puts motherland first, the saying might be understood as a patriotic saying, some kind of motto.

I like it because the words may be understood both ways.

In the second version on the same topic, the simple idea of cherishing family is put in front. Visuals are self-explanatory.
