Design Achievement
With the completion of the Student Village at Whitten University Center project approaching, designers from DLR Group's XGD Studio have embarked on a captivating initiative. Utilizing creative materials that didn't make the final cut, they have repurposed the unused graphics to create a print that celebrates the rich history of black students, diverse cultures, and prominent figures at the University of Miami. The print prominently features symbolic elements, including a Côte d'Ivoire African mask representing African heritage and a Bahamian woman exuberantly celebrating Junkanoo, a traditional cultural festival. Additionally, the print pays homage to Harold Long, the founder of the United Black Students organization, and showcases the Harold Long Jr. and H.T. Smith Student Services Building. Dr. Martin Luther King, an influential figure in the fight for civil rights, is also featured. Vibrantly colorized with the University of Miami's signature on-brand colors, the print serves as a visual testament to the institution's commitment to inclusivity and diversity. This creative endeavor adds an inspiring dimension to the Student Village project, encapsulating the university's vibrant tapestry of cultures and individuals.

Scope Summary
During the final stages of the Student Village project, DLR Group took on the task of creating a bespoke print to be presented as a gift to the client upon completion. Spearheading the experiential graphics for the project, DLR Group ensured a seamless integration of visual elements that celebrate diversity and cultural richness. The custom print serves as a lasting memento, embodying the collaborative efforts and achievements of the University of Miami.
