Spacelab

a transparent visitor desk with
integrated computing work place
design by Peter Stasek

Already the first draft studies for glass towers with curved facades made by Bauhaus schoolmaster Ludwig Mies van der Rohe within the thirties and forties of the last century were the first pioneers in glass architecture in the turn of the millenium, which is famous by many international examples.

Glass architecture provides not only for light creation and climate protection many progressive solutions, but also becomes by many companies an important component of corporate identity. The external transparent appearance, to call this architecture, awakes expectations to find also the continuance of this transparency within the buildings interior again.

The transparency as an inevitable consequence of the always travelling globalization and as a proof of  the own technological advance.

The full glass visitor desk „Spacelab“ – developed by architect and designer Peter Stasek can during his almost intangible appearance meet all the requirements for such expectations.

„I do not  want a massive balk as a borderline to the welcoming door person responsible for the first visitor contact....says Peter Stasek about his own interior design philosophy concerning the reception area. In this way the Spacelab stands for IMAGINE, a sign of boundlessness, equality and open access.
