The brief was to create a new brand of Plantain chips that was open to stereotypical category changes. The branding needed to show that these chips are healthier, crunchier carriers of flavour (They are Vegan and Gluten free). Upon exploration we realised that the local healthier packaging options use natural colours but tend to be more bland in appearance.
In conclusion, healthier doesn't need to be boring. The chips would eventually branch out to kiddies size packaging.
I saw this as an opportunity to create characters for the different flavours that would appeal to both adults and kids. 
Using brown craft paper I explored a more organic approach, where the type is hand rendered and the shapes in the design are made to look natural. This lends itself to natural and health.
