This is a tarot deck inspired by the Bel Epoch era, printed on gloss coated paper.

This unique and hand-drawn deck was a three-year art project made by Tarot Foretell.
The illustrator and creator, going by the name Petorly, has been a graphic designer for 15 years now and a tarot professional for three decades. This project is imbued with the meaning behind a revelation the author experienced more than ten years ago, during his ‘dance with Death’, as he describes it. Lying on a hospital bed, suffering from a seemingly incurable disease, and no hope of recovery, he was made privy to an eternal secret: the true meaning of life is hidden beneath the beauty and love we experience. We are grateful now that we could tap into his wisdom, expertise, and journey.
As one flips through this production, a reflection of passions, ideas, struggles, hopes, aesthetics and romance is revealed to them, all of which entangled into a single time capsule, enclosed between the occurrence of the two world wars.
The artistry behind the deck is a result of a long-lasting collaboration between the author and six other occultists and artists around Europe. The result of this research was 5,800 carefully picked illustrations, of which a choice of 78 took a year and a half.
The result of this project is a tarot deck which includes imagery of famous and influential individuals of the European edge of Bel Epoch. Whilst working with this deck, one reveals the social layers of reality – from the poor and simple, to the rich and famous; from a glimpse into the lifestyle of the middle class to an immersion into the achievements of entrepreneurs, scientists and artists. These images are combined with kabbalistic elements and astrological correspondents, to enrich their depth and character. The feeling evoked by such a mix is an almost hands-on experience of occult and magical encounters and conversations in a time of thrill.    The Bel Epoch era is a time of transition, such as the time we currently live in.
The aim of the deck is therefore to immerse the reader into a story of an important time, condensing what has been and predicting what will come next: a perfect historical tool in the hands of anyone who is passionate about the depth and meaning of tarot and Kabbalah.
