Weingut Knewitz Appenheim – a winery in Rheinhessen, Germany. The Knewitz family has been making wine since the end of the 19th century. In 2009 Tobias Knewitz restructured the family estate to reflect an uncompromising focus on quality and minimal-intervention winegrowing to achieve his ambitious goals.
In 2013 me and the Knewitz Team started a design process which hasn’t stopped until today. At first I designed the logo with a little twist – literally. Because when you turn the bottle by 45 degree, the Knewitz K (which comes without the first stroke) becomes a T – for Tobias.

The Gutswein, which is price entry level, comes with a big branding, whereas Ortswein or VDP.Erste Lage® and VDP.Grosse Lage® now have a smaller Logo and a big name of the location, to show the focus on the special terroir.
Labeldesign was followed by letterhead and business card and some other print material to show and explain the marvelous vineyards in Appenheim/Rheinhessen.
