Japanese teacher Katie Suttles requested a set of 46 black-and-white illustrations to help her students visualize Japanese Hiragana characters and remember the phonetic pronunciations for each character. Ms. Suttles supplied the character references and illustration concepts and I drew the illustrations to match her instructions.
