As part of my dissertation, I had to submit a visual piece of work supporting my essay which was based on the social media and its impact on The London 2012 Olympic Summer Games.
I realised that London 2012 was branded "The most technologically advanced games" and mainly down to the broadcaster, BBC, creating a full digital coverage. It was also the Olympics first launch of "The Hub" which allowed people to digitally follow athletes and have live chats with them as well as keeping up with the latest news.
My visual piece was based around an erray of data and information that I collected regarding the digital aspect of the games. An infographic to me is to display information is a visually pleasing and interesting way. I chose to create vectors to represent different pieces of information and to show the digital impact that was on The London 2012 Olympics.
