현대어린이책미술관 MOKA 작가 모집 프로젝트의 세 번째 전시를 선보입니다.
‘글이 없는 그림책’, ‘자연과 사람’, ‘논픽션 그림책’, ‘친구’의 4가지 주제 아래 12작가가 최종 전시 작가로 선정되었습니다. 그림책 작가들은 작품을 통해 새로운 세상 속으로 들어가게 하고, 우리가 살고 있는 세상을 더 넓게 보여주기도 합니다. 작가 내면의 깊은 곳을 꺼내 설명하기도 하고, 서로 다른 대상들이 관계를 맺고 그 과정에서 벌어지는 사건을 소재로 삼기도 합니다. 이번 전시에서는 12작품을 주제별로 공간적 IN & OUT, 심리적 IN & OUT으로 나누어 펼쳐 보입니다. 각기 다른 소재와 메시지를 담은 작품들은 다양한 IN & OUT을 경험하게 하며 관람객들에게 새로운 영감을 줄 것입니다. 《언-프린티드 아이디어》 전시는 아직 책으로 출판되지 않은 서랍 속의 작품들을 세상에 처음으로 선보이는 자리입니다. 어디에서도 만날 수 없고 오직 MOKA의 전시실에서만 만날 수 있는 작품들의 설레는 시작을 함께해 주시길 바랍니다.
MOKA, Hyundai Museum of Kids' Books & Art, presents the third exhibition of its open call for artists.
Under the four themes of ‘Picture Book without Words’, ‘Nature and Human’, ‘Non-fiction Picture Book’, and ‘Friends’ the exhibition introduces a total of twelve finalist artists. Picture book artists invite us to enter a new world through their work. They also lead us to see the world we live in with a broader perspective. They often draw things out from the deep of their minds and sometimes use events that occur in the process where different subjects from relationships. In the exhibition IN & OUT, twelve artworks by twelve artists are presented IN & OUT throughout the space of the exhibition and also the minds of the viewers. Diverse artworks with unique materials and messages would lead the viewers to experience IN & OUT in various ways with new inspirations. As such, 《Un-printed Ideas》 is an occasion to showcase artworks that have not been published as printed books. This exhibition is a unique, remarkable opportunity to encounter artworks at MOKA. We hope to share with you the exciting and inspiring new journey of the artworks, which are only to be seen in this exhibition.
