Craftypaths / Donoussa herbal products & crafts

Far away lost in the Aegean Sea, there is a small windy island called Donoussa.
Logo design, branding identity, visual elements and packaging for Craftypaths:
Donoussa herbal products & crafts.

The Aegean tradition and culture of handicrafts has always been strong in Greece. Standing out among  competitors was not easy. The brand needed an identity that
not only stands out visually but would also be in the position to communicate the passion for nature, adventure, creation, wild life and healing, that stand at the core
of the brand. A characteristic yet minimal logo symbol would provide the basis for
a modern visual identity that convey this philosophy and energy.

A few words from the creator of the brand:
"Craftypath is a compound word that unites my creations, with all the different paths
of my life. From New Zealand where I was born –English as my mother tongue- to
the place where I grew up Crete, my roots. From one end of the world to the other, Craftypaths captures all the different aspects of my life, my origin, my experiences, my knowledge and my multifaceted restless nature.
Today I draw my inspiration from the paths of Donoussa Island of the Small Cyclades at the Aegean Sea, where I have settled down and where I collect material for my creations. On these paths I meet the local wild goats, a daily reminder of my roots.
So with the valuable collaboration of graphic designer Antigoni Chrysanthopoulou (inogitna) we agreed that the symbol most suited for craftypaths is the “Aigagros” the wild goat.
These bright and flexible creatures that can climb at the most amazing places, that recognize the edible plants from the toxic ones, that if you capture one it will make a big fuss until it finds it’s freedom and reunites with the rest of the herd, but if it manages to enter your orchard it will eat everything and really irritate the farmers.

The wild goat that has been photographed million times from tourists and wanderers is the symbol that will companion me, at my journey along future paths and creations.”
