Optum Genomics rewards mailer (pilot)

Folded self mailer created for Optum as the primary outreach for a pilot program. Optum partnered with Walgreens and Let’s Get Checked to reward members for taking a drug compatibility test. Our goal was to get members to take an enrollment survey as the client had been having hard time with engagement in the program.

I designed a few different formats and we chose the self mailer as it worked well with the content, addressed any PHI concerns, and was cost effective. With 3 brands being represented, the colors were a challenge. The blue, geometric shapes on the exterior were inspired by DNA strands, as the test relates to DNA. Research indicated that member’s biggest hesitation would be privacy concerns with the test, which is why that information was emphasized.

There are several variable data components that had to be resolved within the piece, including the reward value, the personalized URL, and the member-specific codes.
