THE LEGEND OF PAPADALUP
In August 2016, Antio's and I joined forces and got commissioned
to create an indoor mural for Papadalup, a new cafe - bar in Koukaki - Athens. The mission was to depict our vision of Papadalupapadipu,
an interesting fictional myth about a flower, which the owners liked
as a mural concept and name for the bar.

ABOUT THE CONCEPT & THE MYTH
The myth describes a fictional plant, whose pod cures the common cold immediately for men. However, when women eat the plant, they grow a mustache and in two weeks suffer a relapse.
The plant is said to grow on Mount Mypos on the Mediterranean Isle of Mypos, the fictional country of Balki Bartokomous.

THE SKETCH
We decided to draw a humoristic scenery were the main protagonist Papadalupapadipu, our hero plant, throwing seeds across the scene. The mermaids eat the seed and eventually grow up mustaches and get sick, while a sailor lies happy under the shade of the plant, enjoying the day.
