Viral Data, Data Privacy Brasil’s investigation of the topic, mapped out the digital technologies based on personal data used by the brazilian public sector.
We developed the visualization strategy for the research findings, systematizing the broad, fragmented, and multifaceted set of information generated about these technologies.
Data Privacy Brasil found 253 initiatives (22 products with national reach) adopted by different spheres of government, distributed in 77 municipalities and 24 states.
We translated these results into visuals through interactive maps and infographics, presenting a panorama of the companies providing the services, their coverage area, and functionalities demanded by the applications.
We also created an animated explainer video as a presentation to the investigation, its objectives, and its impacts, raising awareness of privacy abuses and leading to better comprehension of this issue’s nuances.
