Context:

For the launch of the fifth season of the Handmaid's Tale series, we build Gilead in the Metaverse. The Republic of Gilead is a place that nobody would like to live in, let alone have to live in. But what if the idea was to destroy it?

Idea:

We put billboards on the streets with the Decentraland map that serves as a QR code. When the user scans it, they are redirected to Gilead. In the ads, we use phrases and greetings typical of the series, and we turn them around, delivering the real message, the one of the Revolution. 

How it works:

Users simply log in as infiltrators, and the only thing they need to do is generate content. Photos, screenshots of international news, podcasts, playlists, and, above all, links to digital libraries, which in the Metaverse will become NFTs. As NFTs, they are unique and irreplaceable pieces of information that will serve as a weapon against the state. When the number of NFTs reaches up to 180, Gilead will be damned.
