The Food Shark in Marfa, Texas is an eclectic mix of traditional Mediterranean and classic Texas cuisine. To achive that ecclectic mix through an identity, I developed a simple, clean brand mark and font to compliment the simplicity of their food and style. I incorporated a subtle peach into the indentity to reference the soft tones typically seen along the Mediterranean coast.
To better portray the mood and vibe of Food Shark, I developed a simple sans-serif font. My aim was to create an easy to read letter that featured clean, bold lines built around familiar geometric shapes. The font is made up of a medium letter weight type shown on top, along with a bold version shown below.
