This is my first time creating a Event Identity, The design is inspired from a promotional brochure that offers a electronic services repair usually found in the street of Jakarta and also inspired by the album cover of the Sonic Youth 'Washing Machine'.
JAKARTA 32°C project—a biennial on visual arts aiming at providing a forum for university students in Jakarta and displaying the newest visual works of various students from a number of universities in Jakarta to wider audiences. The project was initiated by conducting a road show to different universities, collecting students works, data-basing the works, setting up a presentation forum, holding meetings, preparing discussions and selecting the available works. This year, the project will include: exhibition, film and video screening, workshop, discussion and award giving for the 5 best works.
The JAKARTA 32°C is an art project that has been a part from dissemination program focusing on creating, supporting, promoting and disseminating the works and ideas of the young artists to wider audiences through an exhibition which applies certain curatorial processes. In addition, the project is also aimed at preserving the young artists’ creative ideas as well as their potentials from fading away. The potentials can then be continuously supported and sponsored either to achieve fine artistic outcome or to generate sharp ideas that may enrich our views in perceiving our environment, spaces, daily activities.
