Blue Note Jazz Club Rebranding Project

This is a student project to create a branding system for rebranding Blue Note Jazz Club, an authentic jazz club in New York City. With a mission to rebrand the jazz club into today's context, I created a branding system that is applicable across media and occasions.
Challenge:  Although Blue Note Jazz Club has a stable reputation, many of its visitors are over 30s and has a knowledge of jazz music to some extent. Also, it has little exposure of online platform, such as social media. As a result, attracting younger audience was necessary to retain the brand in long term. The aim of the rebranding is to bring them interested in jazz music and eventually to Blue Note Jazz Club. 
Solution: I created a new logo that is more in the trend of today's context. Also, I created a short promotional introduction of the logo, applied in business cards, introductory pamphlet and letterhead. Throughout these applications, the new logo maintained playful yet stylish tone Blue Note Jazz Club always has had.
