GKG1293 Assignment - Creative Resume
In this assignment, we were required to design a 1-page creative resume that includes at least 2 visualization strategies. A creative resume is important in introducing yourself in a visually pleasing way so that we can stand out in the job market. Therefore, visual strategies are effective in displaying your details without the need of going through lengthy wordings.
Visual Strategies Used
I have decided to use bar chart infographic and timeline infographic for my creative resume. This is because I would like to depict my education timeline, skills and personality type.
Layout Sketch
I used digital sketching to draft out how I plan to arrange the elements used in the creative resume. For example, I made use of shapes such as circles and rectangles to frame important information. After having the rough sketch reviewed, I brought the sketch into Adobe Illustrator to outline elements and insert desired typography.
Final Result
I made use of blue and purple as my color scheme according to the hierarchy of information so that it may stand out. Other than that, I also made use of two fonts in this creative resume, namely Bahnschrift for normal text and Britannic Bold for headers and subheaders. Information that had been used in my creative resume includes my full name, headshot picture, phone number, e-mail address, short introduction summary, education timeline, skills and MBTI personality type.
