It was not all that long ago these phone booths represented the latest cutting edge technology in telecommunications. 

Abandoned by their corporate owners, they're being converted into micro public art galleries that feature an ever changing slate of street artists.

The illustrations are stylized portraits rather than an accurate documentaries of a single phone.
