DVB201 A2: W8 - Task 2

Brief 1: Using 2 typefaces and one colour only

The two typefaces I have used for this label are called Quicksand and Café Francoise. Both fonts are sans-serif for easy readability and a cleaner look. Café Francoise possesses slight texturing in its letter outline, making it more of an "earthy" font- to match with the natural theme of this product. I have also chosen a light brown colour to reinforce this natural theme. The spacing of the letters is even and neat, creating an orderly and neat feel for the cleaning product.

Brief 2: Using 1 typeface and one colour only

For this iteration of the label, I chose to use only the Quicksand font. This font is a lot rounder and subsequently wider, creating a more natural dichotomy between the main and sub titles. The titles are also differentiated by the use of bold and capitlised letters.
Brief 3: Using 1 typeface only and up to two colours

For my final iteration I chose to use the Quicksand font from my previous design. For the extra colour that was requested by the brief, I chose to use a slightly lighter brown colour in the same shade range as the background. This lighter brown creates various interest points for the cutsomer, while not being too obtrusive to the font colour and readability of the words. The shapes are uneven and "natural" forms, that don't have straight lines, as there are no straight lines in nature.
