The idea of the project Pixel. is inspired by the historical location of the design area.
The system of geometrized tracks, which existed here in the previous ones, has been transformed to the present day. This realization is consistent with the design motive used at the Gdańsk University of Technology.
Using the arrangement of the main paths, they are marked on a grid (of squares 2x2m module) main walking routes and green areas. Designed there wooden structures (surrounding mainly trees) on elevations, in which elements of small architecture were used. The modules are designed to perform functions integrating community (not only student) through:
- recreation: swings, hammocks, seats, gardens
- sports: basketball, pull-up bars
- culture: exhibitions, information banners
The largest module is the square, which has been adapted to the organized events. It is intended for gatherings, picnics, dances, open-air cinemas, ice rinks, bonfires and many more, and the nearby module has been adapted to a seasonal café serving the area. A separate zone with already existing hives is dedicated to fauna and flora. There are: bird feeders, squirrel houses and flower meadow with decorative trees.
