Wisp is the final design for my 2D asset unit. It involved a relatively simple character design turn around, and one hero prop, which in this case is his staff and censer. The design began with the hair, which is also the namesake of the character. From there, he turned into a literal sort of will o' wisp.
I imagine the staff swaying and bobbing as he walks through the marshy forests.
This coat wasn't included in the final design, but it's nice to see him smiling.
The staff is old gnarled wood, and the censer is filled with crystal shards that glow to light his way, and more importantly lure the spirits so he can help them pass on.
