LIGHT WORK
This Intensive Design of Impact Lab 2: People was conducted in the Queensland University of Technology. It provided me an opportunity to work with a competent industry partner (Solar Buddy) and excellent team.
Background: The project is aiming on fundraising that could be implemented in disadvantaged communities here in Australia.
The problem: How might we improve the Solar Buddy fundraising system to engage more corporations, businesses and individuals by incentivising donations?
Resolved idea: Light work is a system connecting big corporations, local businesses and the individual to engage existing donors and perhaps create new ones.
How it works: Light Work is a digital product accessible on certain gym equipment prompting people to go a little harder to reach set goals that, in turn, unlock donations from a big corporation to Solar Buddy. The Corporation gets free advertising, Solar Buddy retains a donor,
Impacts: It raises awareness about energy poverty, improves income stream, reignite people’s desire to be part of the energy poverty solution.
