UTICA

As part of the initiative "Towards an Industry 4.0 in Tunisia", UTICA participated in a study mission to Germany from April 20 to 26, 2019 in Stuttgart organized by the Ministry of Industry and SMEs with the GIZ competition, Mr Maher Fkih, central director of economic affairs represented UTICA during this mission. This is a trip by a delegation made up of various Ministries, support institutions and various strategic partners to visit support structures for the national strategy of industry 4.0 in Germany. During this mission, the Tunisian participants were able to see firsthand how Germany has become a world leader in Industry 4.0 in recent years. This success is partly due to an ambitious program put in place to help German industry and companies to exploit the potential of Industry 4.0. At the heart of this initiative are the “Industry 4.0 Competence Centers” which offer a service adapted to companies to support them in their transition to Industry 4.0. In addition, various instruments are in place to create a new industry 4.0 ecosystem and finance new technological solutions.
So this event was held after their meeting in Germany in order to introduce the technology of Industry 4.0 which has been defined as “a name for the current trend of automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies, including cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things, cloud computing and cognitive computing and creating the smart factory”.
