This illustrated book "Rest in Peace" is a fictional story of a deer looking for a resting place after its untimely death. The deer searched for a resting spot before they start to fully decompose. This mixed media storybook is the process of accepting lives that are taken too quickly and imagining where they might find a resting place. 

I made this story during the second year of the pandemic. It felt like the news was saturated with death weather due to the virus or racist violence that was finally being covered by media outlets. I wanted to offer a token of thought to the people who met death too early.
