Hampton Mansion is one of the largest, most ornate houses built in 18th century America. GWWO worked with the National Park Service to provide preservation services, new environmental controls and fire suppression systems for visitor facilities, museum storage areas, all exhibit spaces and period rooms, offices, and the gift shop. By stabilizing temperature and humidity within the 28,000-SF Mansion, this $1.5M project enables the continued preservation and protection of the park’s primary cultural resource and its significant contents, while improving visitor conditions.
