The Bad Guys is an upcoming movie from DreamWorks animation movie that is based off The Bad Guys book series. Unlike most 3D animation movies that adds a lot of textures to their character. Also, try to make the 3D animation characters somewhat realistic. The Bad Guys art style threw that standard away of semi-realistic 3D animation characters and make their characters look more cartoony. The characters look a bit flat in color but in a good way. I see there was a bit of hand-drawn animation included on the eyes and face to exaggerate their expressions. The art style almost looks claylike as well which I noticed a lot of recent movies are doing don't know why but I don't hate it. Movies that uses a claylike art style is "Turning red" and "Luca".
