Maison Martin Morel - The House

In august last year I made a fashion shoot for Maison Martin Morel, young fashion brand based in Paris, France. There is a very interesting idea behind MMM. It's owner, Emmanuel Foytier, reconnects with his family's past, rediscovers beautiful old fabric patterns for modern (mostly) women fashion designs, and calls it accurately "contemporary past". On it's LinkedIn profile we can read that:

"Originally Maison Martin Morel was a factory created in 1896, was designing and producing printed fabric in the region of Lyon for almost 100 years. Selling both in France and internationally the company was known for its refine and precise quality. In 1982, it was shut down, but the family kept archived the 100 years old print collection. 30 years after, moved by this lost treasure, the Grandson of the latest owner along with designers decided to reuse Maison Martin Morel archive to create up to date fashion products."

Obviously we decided to shoot the campaign in the original factory. I was amazed by the place, that, apart from one part of the house, is now pretty much devastated by forces of nature. It was very intensive and fast-paced work but I managed to wake up at dawn and shoot some exteriors. Here is the result, and fashion shots will follow up in the next project on Behance.
Below are just few images from the inside of the factory, while astonishing in shapes, textures and light, I used them for fashion shoots, so you can see more of them soon!
