The quintessential head accessory from Rajasthani, Borla maang tikka design is an ethnic accessory that was worn by the people of this region for thousands of years. 
The 'Borla Collection' was inspired by these traditional borla form. 
The eccentric bulb shape, iconic to borla was retained in the various jewellery designs created. 




The Collection Unit Evolution 

The collection unit was ideated replacing the 'O' from Borla with that of the form of the traditional borla to emphasis on the collection inspiration and continued story building. 
Color Palette
 
The predominant color on the collection is pista green. We’d like to go ahead with a tone that is complementary to the same and would like to explore ‘rust’ as the primary color and green as accent tone for the collection. Rust and green also add to the tone of Indian vintage aesthetics. Attaching some references for the same
Creative Direction  - The Story : 

Combining the old and the new in one frame through the use of a mirror.​​​​​​​

While the reflection through the mirror shows the model clad in veil and wearing the traditional Borla, the actual model is shown wearing the jewellery from the collection. Same thought process was extend to the product shots where while the actual product is from the collection the reflection inside the mirror is that of the traditional borla.

Creative Route 2: A variation from the mirror reflection, exploring the theme of staging the products and treating them as a piece of
still-life. This route again was explored with a similar color palette and composed within a vintage frame to add to the royal-ness of Borla.
