Near the end of March, Paramount released a final trailer for the sequel to Sonic The Hedgehog. While I plan on making a review of the film, I first would like to talk about a quick promotional poster they did for it. 

In comparison to the first movie, the studio is much more confident in the film that they have. So much so that they have went all in with the marketing and catering to what the fans want to see. One of those things being a poster that recreates the iconic box art for the Sonic The Hedgehog 2 video game. 

And man, did they deliver.  

The recreation of the box art is absolutely fantastic. While not 100% faithful, the design of the poster does a great job of interpreting the original artwork to fit the style of the movie. Even the littler details such as the "2" having the same outlines and checkered pattering as the box art or even incorporating Knuckles, who wasn't in the video game but is a major player in the movie, into the "2" while being slightly faded is brilliant. This is overall both a wonderful poster design and recreation of an iconic video game box art.
