Mason's Illustrator Adventure

In our whole lives, we are always studying. It doesn't matter how old or young we are, we always can learn some new skills or experiences from a special periods. For me, I just past a special period in my life. In this period, I learned a lot about illustrator, not just the skills, but also the spirit and the attitude. I am so glad that I have the chance to touch and enjoy the effect of illustrator in my life. For sharing the happiness, a case study is a good example to tell people how's my feeling and changes in the last few months.
The first step is confirm my direction, why kind of story I want to tell the readers, and what way should I use for explaining it. After a brainstorm, I decide to use a traditional way of story to show my experience. The reason is story is an easy to understand for everyone, and create more interactions between people and people.

So here is my draft! I follow the order of a normal story, create different period for my experiences, such as exposition, call to action, etc. This is a sweet time for me, because I can also review my works, and growth.
I also drew down a template's sketching for my case study for making sure everything in a right order.

Now is the time to put everything in!
The next step is combine the words and my works together, and Indesign is the best software for this step in my mind. It helps me a lot when I need to make everything in ordered. This is my parents master on the above. I want people enjoy my story, and engage in it. They are my visitors of a pat of my life, and I want them to enjoy it just like at Disneyland. That's why my background is sky blue, one of the main color in Disneyland. Also, one thing that the Disneyland connects each parts is their cute train. That what I copied from them as well. My case study, is my own "Disneyland" for my readers.

If people wanna get a ride by train, they have to pay the ticket, so I made a train ticket as the cover.
I used several ways to show my works, includes my sketching, different parts of my works, etc to help people to understand what I try to explain in my stories. I also put my work into the mock to show the effect in the real world in my icons set. In my case study people can tell the ideas' changes and how I made change based on my ideas and the feedback from others. At the same, time, people can see I familiar with the process of illustrator better and better.
I also consider the feedback from others just like my last few works, I made sure my page will not emptied, leave a lot of white space on the page as well.

Another side I pay attention is the fonts. AdornS Condensed Sans d I finally find AdornS Condensed Sans‭. It matches my theme and show my ideas really well. For the body part, I follow my friends' suggestion, and find a font belong to the san serif style: "Roboto‭" . The reason is those two font have smilier style, and "Roboto"‭ ‬is popular on body content in last few years.
Here is my last page of my case study. I hope people can enjoy their time on reading my case study. If they love it, they can follow my bechance line to visit my future works. I know I will never stop to create new works on illustrator, it becomes a part of my life already. I will also keep updating my case study when I have new work in the future. That will be a sweet memory in my life!
