The Reticent Scenery
Lesachtal in the Austrian Alps
Maria Luggau 2021
The mundane beauty of the Austrian Dolomites, as seen from a tiny alpine hut in the mountains of the Lesach Valley. It’s a calm place filled with precious secrets, adventures and wilderness, while being constantly wrapped into breathtaking and permanently changing views you never get tired of.
Spending almost four weeks with friends up in the meadows around the house became a recuperation of many lonely, scary and senseless months of covid restrictions. A constant transition of relaxation and adventure - perfectly balanced. After crossing the Alps by bike on a challenging multi-day-ride, the struggle changed into excitement and fulfillment. The Perseid Meteor Shower marked the beginning of a quiet and nocturnal part that holiday. Also, many hiking, cycling and indulgence adventures had started & ended at the aeranda of that hut whilst many moments of daydreaming got sparked by that view.
