If "The 1975's Sincerity is Scary is the socially anxious introvert's anthem,
this t-shirt becomes their armor, right?

Here it is if you haven't heard it before

Even though it barely ever gets said; a person with social anxiety almost always has at least one more thing to add to every conversation.

The front of the shirt is left bare with just a single line of text as a means to establish the wearer's first impression as a creature of subtlety and minimal frill.

The back of the shirt in comparison has a party going on. I designed it this way to emphasize the fact that if someone does have socially anxious tendencies it doesn't have to be a full-time commitment.

In their own intimate circles, introverts can actually go through a complete 180 and become the literal center of attention.

I interpret the line on the back as the socially anxious introvert's attempt at maintaining the size of their social circle - an indirect call for help. Breakups suck already - but if someone's literal social circle was tied down to a single person; that would be a pretty stinky situation to be in. 🦨

There's another way to look at the back of the shirt too, (we're artists guys we interpret things however we want and as many times as we want). The great thing about having an intense design on the back of the shirt is, you can very easily hide it if you don't want it on display at a certain time or in specific company.

Back against the wall, layering up, just don't turn your back to them - there are at least 7 more ways to hide it, but when you're with your people, and the anxiety has subsided that doesn't even have to be something you think about and instead, you have a way of letting the people around you know that you're kind of feeling yourself a little bit at the moment.

Also, it's gender-fluid which I think is pretty great.
