Vincent Munier travels the earth and photographs nature. I wanted to create a book that would display his artistry and support the wintery theme of his photographs as well as convey poetic messages and call for humans to treat nature and animals with respect. This is a sort of tribute to an amazing artist. This book was created purely for artistic and design purpose, with absolutely no commercial interests.
The book was designed and 100% handbound by me, with a customized hinge system, which allows photographic quality heavy paper to open easier than perfect bound book would. Days of hand cutting, scoring and gluing yielded nearly perfect specimen. Hardcover and jacket were designed with Reich Paper shimmer series, which gives a luxurious pearlescent feel to the cover image and deep coal shimmer to the fly leaves and hardcover.
