Sebenza Mbokodo Women’s Fund Awareness Campaign
Background
The Sebenza Imbokodo Women’s Fund which is a partnership between Standard Bank and the Midvaal Local Municipality
with the objective to provide funding to the max of R10 000 to woman owned SMME’s operating within the Midvaal area.
Women owned businesses are underrepresented in the Midvaal – even though they are a majority.
Over and above that – they are largely informal.
Brief
To make a lot of noise about this initiative. Create a look and feel and messaging.
Concept
We looked at Adinkra symbols from Ghana which represent concepts or aphorisms. We chose the KWATAKYE ATIKO symbol as the holding device for our key visual. “KWATAKYE ATIKO”, which means “Hairstyle of Kwatakye.” Kwatakye was a famous, fearless African warrior and captain.
