Rituals are an important part of our lives as South Africans. We perform rituals that require us to offer sacrifices to our gods, ancestors and respectful spiritual entities. 

Insight: Ukuhlaba is an isiXhosa word used to describe rituals. The word is also losely used to refer to an injection. The ritual itself is referred to as umsebenzi (Job/work that needs to be done).​

Idea: (The ritual) We want to normalise the vaccine as some type of a ritual that shouldn’t be shunned upon. By showing Mzansi that in order for things to go well for us, we need to perform this ritual – “Put in the work to get the results we want together as a nation”. 

We want to take this campaign to the streets by handing out faux vaccination cards that are actually meal vouchers.
