My new logo for my RedBubble shop and future endeavours as a freelance artist. The brand name is MazzyJay. The brand name taking inspiration from my childhood nicknames 'Mazzy', 'Master' and 'Maz' my surname name 'Jones' with the initial being 'J'. The logo was inspired by my 'Illuminated' series of drawings and the more recent style I've been experimenting with in my 'Lunar New Year' series. The bird image is inspired by the blue Jay and in particular the Australian Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike (often named as a Blue Jay although it isn't actually a Blue Jay) and the Tasmanian Black Currawong also known locally as the Black Jay. I hope the fresh design and new branding of my work will be a good start to a bright future as an artist.
