I've been experimenting with an exercise that consists on creating some watercolor splashes with my eyes closed. Then, I applied some coarse salt to create textures.

After that, I worked on them with more watercolor and pencils, and the result was three little characters, a cute slugs.

I think this is a good way to create original characters and unleash our creativity :)
