Logo and branding concept proposal for the Bulgarian seaside city Sozopol
In 2021 I took part of a competition for the Sozopol city logo and branding. After the competition was over winners or any feedback were never announced. However, I want to give life to my proposal and concept as I enjoyed the process and the results.
Sozopol is an ancient seaside town and being one of the oldest cities in Bulgaria it has a long history and traditions. The town was founded in the 7th century by Greek colonists. Nowadays Sozopol is famous for its cultural, archeological, religious heritage, for its art and cultural scene. With all these features the town attracts thousands of tourists during spring, summer, and autumn.
The concept for the new branding is showcasing the history and the main symbol of the town - the anchor. It represents the town with a new and modern approach. Moreover, the logo concept grows in a pattern and branding that illustrate some of the lovely and most famous city architecture and places. It captures the real character of the city with all seagulls, street cats, interesting architecture, museums, and of course the seaside.
