Office building ‘The Inktpot’
Wayfinding and signage system
All the wayfinding for the headquarters of a governemental department, who is in charge of all train infrastructure in Holland (tracks, bridges, stations, etc.) is designed in cooperation with architectural firm Merkx+Girod. The headquarters are housed in a renovated 19th century building, which is a certified historical landmark. It is famous for being the first to use industrial manufactured bricks. Special attention needed to be given to ‘door number signs’, as well as to horizontal tiles that match elevated walkways protecting the historical but heavily damaged floor tiles underneath.
